Is it ok to wear contacts ONLY for a sport? ?

I wear glasses all the time and because of money issues can't afford to wear contacts every day. I want to be able to wear contacts for soccer because my glasses are always getting hit off my face.

Yep, as long as you're fitted correctly. Nike recently came out with contacts to wear while playing sports. Ask your Optometrist about Nike Maxsight because it's designed for athletes. Good luck!

I talked to my doctor and he actually said wearing contacts for a sport may be better than glasses. Glasses can be annoying...i should know.

Also, the person above me, he should just stop playing a sport he likes just because he might not see well.

and when you lose a contact?  It is history.     Contacts normally are not worn in sports-that is when they are removed.  It is not like you have to read something.   If you are that blind, that you got coke bottle lenses,  you should avoid all sports.  Really.  Otherwise get an elastic strap that connects the glasses arms around the back of your head.
