Is it ok to wear glasses with contacts?

Will it mess up my eyes if i wear my old prescription glasses with a new prescription contacts?

The reason is my insurance doesnt insure both glasses and contacts, and i dont have the money to buy glasses.

  1. I don't think that's a good idea.  Ask your eye doctor.

Maybe but If you have a script for the glasses that you can't fill there are organizations that will give you a voucher for free glasses at participating places like pearl vision, etc..try to google search lyons club, new eyes for the needy. Not sure where you are from, these places service NY/NJ. If they can't help you out then google search free prescription glasses.

  3. no, you will strain your eyes and cause more damage. what I don't understand is why you would want to wear both at the same time.  Just store either properly while not wearing.

  4. You can try, but it really freaks out your eyes.  Consider replacing just the lenses in your current frames.

    No, you cannot damage your eyes or make them worse.  You might just get a headache or even get dizzy going back and forth between the two.
