Is it ok to wear wetsuit in water park or on waterslide?

I have wetsuit vest for other water sports, but never wore one to waterpark

You can but remember that you will roast out of the water waiting in line.

At Water World here in Colorado, we have those huge 80 foot tall speed slides. On those you aren't allowed to wear any kind of shirt. Doesn't matter if you're a man, a woman, a child. They make you take it off and hold on to it. But that's just here, I've never had any other experiences.
