Is it okay for me to drink energy drinks?

Okay I'm a female. I'm 15 years old. Is it okay for me to drink energy drinks. I take energy drinks to have more energy, and i also like to work out, so thats the reason why I take energy drinks. Are energy drinks bad for you?

  1. well no not reely b-cuz itz not healthy 4 u one energy drink haz alcohol in it and dat one iz juice it wuz on the nuice now i dont reely see people drinkin any energy drink i wuld stay away

Energy drinks have a ton of sugar and caffeine in them, so it makes your heart race. my friend drank one one day and after drinking it, she got light headed and her nose started bleeding. maybe that was just her reaction, but that could probably happen to anyone. ive never had an energy drink; i dont really see the point- if you eat healthy, that's a good energy source in itself.

    Vitamin energy and Archer farms energy is ok considering they don't have the bad things in it.

    They can be found at most Target stores I believe.

  4. im 16 i have drank energy drinks for 2 years. I also like to work out and everything u can think of. Energy drinks are bad for u cause there is so much caffine in them but they r good and nothing has happened to me yet.

  5. Virtually all energy drinks are bad for anyone especially underage.  If you absolutely need the drinks find some without guarana it is horrible for you not to mention all the sugar in the drinks which is very fattening and bad for  your heart

  6. Yes, energy drinks are extremely bad for your body. Especially, considering that your body is still growing and maturing. Energy drinks contain an extreme amount of caffeine and also a chemical called taurine. Caffeine and Carbonated beverages such as soda are notorious for breaking down your muscles, completely negating the good that working out is doing. Energy drinks operate much the same way, however, they are also infused with sometimes double the caffeine of a normal soda. It also can cause your metabolism to peak and spike, and they only give you a temporary boost, like sugar you will eventually come down off the buzz.

    However, if you really enjoy your energy drinks one occasionally, will not hurt you. Try to stay with the ones that contain ingredients that have NOT been banned by the FDA. If what you're looking for is more energy while you work out than I would suggest taking a multi-vitamin or adding more vitamin B (B-12), OR even cutting out all sugar beverages and drinking only water and 100% juice beverages. The change in your drinking habits alone will cause you to see a great increase in your energy.

    Again once and a while it won't do damage, its suggested that they be used like alcohol with common sense excersized.  Just becareful not to overwhelm your body, because if your body depends too heavily on it, if ever you don't give your body that boost you will have withdrawl symptoms, including that you will feel extremely tired.

  7. things like 5 hour energy aern't. things like red bull and monster r terrible for you. I have a family friend who drank a pack a day and ended up having all sorts of health problems. I would stay away.

  8. They are real sugary so they give you cavities if you drink one like three time a week.  Like I said, they are sugary so they are kinda high in calories.

  9. I would limit yourself to 1 drink a day, and be careful when working out, your heart gets pumping hard enough when working out, and if you are not careful adding an energy drink to that could cause you a heart attack.

  10. Too much of them is bad, try just taking a certain amount. They are packed with sugar and caffeine, this could lead to a heart attack..

  11. no its not ok for you to drink energy drinks, there very bad for you.  i use to  till  one  night my heart pumped so fast i felt sick i couldnt sleep it was bad.my friend almost died from those thats what the hospital  said.
