Is it okay for men to cry when they are hurt?

A man may be hurt because of facing some problems, like the death of a loved one, and gives way to tears or even cries. The next thing you hear from some well-meaning person is, "Be a man and dry your tears," implying that real men don't cry.

i think its fine if a guy needs to cry, dont let people telling you to suck it be a reason to hide all your feelings.

It's a sad stereotype that men don't cry.  In saying that, it means men feel no emotion.  This; of course, is simply not true.  Tis human to hurt...and thus tis human to cry.

Men can cry when they're sad, lonely, extremely happy, or have had a loss.  

So yes, it's certainly okay for men to cry.

it's ok to cry...especially after soemthing that traumatising. the people saying that are presumably trying to help in a misguided fashion. try to ignore it

if you dont show emotions you are not a man and not even a human. we all have feelings no matter our gender. who said men dont have the right to cry. they're human too!!! this problem is starting to get annoying.
