Is it okay for my cats to l**k the revolution stuff (for heart worms/fleas/ear mites)?

I tried my best it get it between their shoulders, but they kept moving so it would slip to one side and I'm pretty sure they ended up l*****g some off. Is that okay? Like it won't kill them or anything? Or affect the process of it?

It wont be fatal but may cause some drooling.  It is wonderful that you are such a great pet owner, keep up the good work!

I'm in the same situation and my family has spent hours researching this. Ideally you want to prevent them l*****g it, but that's not realistic. Just try to minimize how much they ingest. As long as it's not a lot, they should be fine. It won't make the product any less effective. Also, if you're worried, you should definitely monitor their health and behavior for the next few days and if you see anything odd, especially something involving digestion (vomiting, diarrhea, drooling/foaming at the mouth) get them to the vet immediately.

As long as most of it stays on the fir it will still work.  It won't kill the cat but it may make them sick enough to be taken to the vet.  I had that happen to one of  my cats ant I had to take it to the vet.  It had trouble breathing.  The vet said my cat was allergic to it.
