yes it is perfectly normal. your teeth will be sore and tender because your teeth have become used to having so much pressure exerted on them that they become tender after the pressure comes off

yes. your teeth aren't used to not having the pressure on ur teeth so they're gonna feel tender for a while. just wear ur retainer so they don't move back to their original spots and you will be fine.
