Is it okay if a rabit doesn't get it's food for two days.?

Question

There are bugs in our rabbits food so he can't eat it and we can't get his special food for two days. is it okay if he lives of fruts and vegetables?

I don't see why not, in fact it more healthy for the rabbit if he get fruits and vegetables everyday. You should balance your "special" food for the rabbit and fruits and veggies he eats. For example I feed my rabbit Pellets in morning, Fresh fruits at night and both pellets and veggies in the night. Hope this helps!

Yes it's perfictly fine. The best thing for them is leafy greens and carrots. This not only is very healthy for them but improves their eyesite as well. They need a good balanced diet just as we do.

Lay off the fruits and high sugar veggies like carrots.  They're not so great for you rabbit.  Changing his feed abruptly like that can throw off his gut and cause problems you don't want to deal with.  

I suggest you either go get his feed now or get a few things out of your pantry for substitutes that will keep him as normal as possible.  Try giving uncooked, old-fashioned rolled oats (oatmeal), groats (oats with no shell), a piece of wheat bread, a few Cheerios, black oil sunflower seeds (for birds, not people)...  If he's over 4 months old you can offer a tiny bit of greens.  Carrot tops, not carrots, are fine.

It's always best to keep things constant with rabbits for best health but it happens...  I've run out of feed before.  It's good to keep a bag (or bale) of good hay on hand.  If I run out, I can give hay 'till I can go buy it the next day.  Just keeps this stable/constant.

Well. Don't worry about that. You rabit can live of vegetables.
