Is it okay if i played poker in a public restaurant?

Is it illegal? Can they kick us out if we just order some pepsis and started laying out chips and played a game of texas holdem?

I would keep your money out of sight, play for 'matches' or something. I wouldn't do it in a high class restaurant but it would be up to the managers discretion if anybody took exception to you all playing a friendly game of cards.

A restaurant is private property. They can kick you out for any reason.

In Michigan, you can play cards for fun only in bar/restaurants. Playing for money or prizes must be approved as a charity event only, and is regulated. Violators get a fine, repeat violators can get some time in the lockup.
