Is it okay if my girlfriend sits on my lap in public?

i wanna ask my girlfriend to sit on my lap in public places (park, movies, retuarants..)

Hm...it depends.  I would think at restaurants it would be a definite no.  Families with young children would probably not appreciate the public displays of affection.

Its okay for your girlfriend to sit on your lap, but at appropriate places. It could be incredibly annoying if by sitting on your lap your girlfriend blocks the view of a person behind you and it would be slightly strange for your girlfriend to sit on your lap at a restaurant, perhaps a casual, inexpensive place but certainly not at a fancy restaurant. But like you said at the park, at the mall, or on the beach it would be appropriate.

In most venues, it would be considered offensive to most other people around. That's more of a private thing - have respect for others and keep it private.

Um... Me & my friends don't really care when we see it somewhere public.

As long as you two aren't like, making out

or she isn't giving you a lap dance or anything.

Well it depends. It is not appropriate in the movies or in restaurants. The park isn't a problem. It also depends somewhat on what she is wearing. If she's wearing something revealing like a short skirt, then I'd say no, simply because it would be difficult for her to "sit like a lady". I'm pretty sure you would be perfectly able to realize when sitting on someone elses lap is appropriate and when it is not.
