  1. The teacher is responsible for you while away at the field trip -it is entirely up to that teacher who goes or not.

  2. i don think teachers threaten but still if they call for a traditional trip then they must be having a wish to get you people more closely and likely towards our culture......

  3. I imagine that would be her/his prerogative.

  4. Yes.  There is no rule that says schools are required to take students on field trips.  They are a priviledge - not a right.  So the fact that your teacher wants to take you on any kind of field trip should make you happy.  As far as what a "traditional" field trip is - that is up for debate.  But it is ultimately the teacher and the school's decision as to where the students go.

  5. Of course.  If you don't deserve it, you don't deserve it.

Just because it's always been doesn't mean it must stay that way.

  6. Absolutely. While out on a field trip, the teacher is totally responsilbe for the welfare of all the students. If anything happens to them, the teacher can be held legally accountable. If there are students/groups where there is the real belief that they will disregard directions, then yes, the teacher won't take them. Students who continually flaunt the rules within the confines of the school cannot be trusted on a field trip.
