Is it okay if you are menstruating when you have a colonoscopy?

yes it is fine.  i had hernia surgery with my period.  you might want to let them know before hand though

Yes, it's perfectly fine.  It's not likely that there will be blood from your period inside your colon, and the colonoscope can wash out any extraneous fluid/fecal matter anyway (assuming you've completed the bowel prep).  Make sure you tell your doctor anyway, just in case, and wear a tampon that day.  Hope everything goes well for you! :)
