Question:

Is it okay if you get MAC Pigment in your eyes?

When I bought my MAC Pigment, the lady suggested that it would be good for a nude shadow. However, sometimes I mix it with water or just do it with loose powder, and some of it got in my eye today (not sure if it has previously but possibly). I tried to wash it out with water and a cleansing water/make up remover from Darphin which is safe for eyes.

Is there anything else I can do to get it out? Will I be okay if a little is in my eyes? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks! :)

  1. if it's only a little bit, it's fine. :) but if you dumped half of the container in your eye I think you should be a little concerned. But you said it was only a little so you should be fine.

  2. There ARE some that are not eye safe:

The list above will tell you what is,  and is not safe for the eyes. Of  course  any of the glitter pigments by MAC wouldn't be safe, but that's just because of their texture and chunkiness.  To be honest, like one of the posters said before me, as long as you are not dumping the entire container in your eyeball, you are fine.  If it's a little pigment that was on the brush and the fallout got into your eye, you are fine.  You did the right thing by washing it out immediately.  I can't tell you how many times I've had clients of mine tell me the same thing, and  nobody's ever came to me with eye problems because of pigment.
