I live in Toronto. Recently I bought a Bangladeshi flag from a local firework store. For fun I boguht it and I really liked the texture of it in green and red. I nailed it on the front wall of the hosue entrance. It is looking gordgious. The question is am I allowed to do so in canada? Since its my house and not an embassy or higcommission, its personal. can I show my flag infront of my hosue, living in another country?

  1. no

    i dont think so

  2. Definately!!

Its Toronto one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world! obviously you can show love for another country!

  3. Yes of course you can, but if it is that nice it may disappear fast. Our town was awash in different flags during the World Cup.

  4. Yes. I have seen countless foreign flags displayed on windows and on the porch/front lawn : Italian, Korean, Brazil, Japan, British, etc.

Although...........got to be careful about the area where you live. You never know.

  5. Yes of course you can but you should display the Canadian flag also.  Not enough people in Canada display the flag like they do in the US.

  6. People display Canadian and US flags, I know some who use them for curtains even controversial ones like the US Southern Cross, the only flag that will cause a big uproar is a n**i Swaztica, they are not look upon as savoury, but if your from Bangaladesh, why not show your pride and love of your country, the only hurdle is some municpalitys have regulations on outdoor displays and flagpoles over 10 feet, you can call your city councillor at city hall, if there is and questions. My uncle has a big flagpole and displays an number of different flags and he has never gotten in trouble, if your neighbours complain find out why or as I said call the city office for your ward and as to the regulations for outdoor displays and flags.

  7. sure

as long as you are not worried about your neighbors

burning a cross on you front lawn

  8. you can display it but you really should have the Canadian flag also, this is being respectful of where you live

  9. By law you can display it  no body can do anything about it.

But cause u living in other country some people might not like

it and u can face some hate crime.

So my advice to you put it on display inside your house or may be on wall in your living room and u will be OK.

  10. i guess u can. i dont think its against the law or anything.
