  1. dat woodn't b kool. Maybe someone with the better qualifications is a better speller. I understand about texting and shortening your words and stuff, but where in the world has our sense of pride gone. No one wants to have to decipher internet lingo.

  2. Sure, just tell the HR person you're looking to improve your interviewing/job skills for the next application, if they have a heart at all they'll help you out.

  3. Like they said, you did not meet their criteria - nothing personal....

  4. well that's kind of self-explanatory...

  5. i think so but you need to know you may not like the answers.you still need to be professional and thank them afterward.

  6. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm not really.

  7. I don't see any harm in asking... it isn't rude.  Simply be polite when you do ask.

However, keep in mind that the answer may be complete BS or something you don't want to hear.  For instance sometimes I get asked by applicants why they haven't received an interview.  I often come up with something pretty generic, when the honest reason is that they have no grasp of the English language or clearly terrible social/people skills.

  8. I don't see why not... Just ask for the manager and talk to him/she... I'm sure they will answer your questions...

  9. It is not customary and not really appropriate to ask.  There could be a number of reasons that they thought you weren't the right fit, or the best fit for the job.  It would be uncomfortable and possibly confrontational if you asked them exactly why.  It's reallly not acceptable.

What would be acceptable is to write a letter saying that you are very interested in a position with their company in the future and ask what can you do to make yourself a better fit for their needs.

  10. Sure! I've answered people who have asked me after the fact why they didn't get a job if they ask very politely. If you are professional and polite when you ask, you will more than likely get a professional and polite response. Don't get upset over it - sometimes you may have a great interview but one other person just happened to have an interview just as great but they also had 2 extra years of experience. If they say they found someone more qualified, it could very well be the truth.

Also, be sure you use correct spelling and grammar. If you used the above poor grammar in your resume or your interview, don't bother calling - you have your answer. (not trying to be mean - just honest)
