Is it okay to bake cupcakes in paper cups in addition to the foil baking cups?

I'm going to bake some cupcakes and I don't have cupcake pans, but I do have the foil baking cups. I wanted to make the cupcakes using some cartoon themed liners I have, but I was wondering if it would be okay to put them in those liners I have and then put them in the foil baking cups. Would they burn if I did this? Or should I just use the foil baking cups only and then when they are ready, put them in the liners I have?

  1. Actually, that will work just fine.  They won't burn at all.  Just be sure to check the cupcakes with a toothpick to be sure they're done in the middle.

:)  Have fun with your cupcakes!

  2. It's fine to use the foil cups and paper liners.  They're both made specifically for baking cupcakes and muffins in....

  3. I believe you will be ok with this

Those pleated aluminum cupcake cups should be sturdy enough to not expand too much in the baking process.

  4. It should be ok if by "cupcake cups" you mean those mini tart tins. It depends on ths size of the paper cups too. Why ot just try it out with one and if you dont like how it turns up then dont use them.
