Is it okay to be a Paul Pierce lover when I used to be a Kobe fan?

After this year's finals, I have decided that I will no longer be a Kobe fan. Kobe Bryant has shown no guts, and therefore, got no glory. Is it okay for a Lakers fan to be a Paul Pierce fan?
