Old ginseng as in possibly 10 or more years from purchase date.

And if it is okay how much potency would be left?

Would it be effective in terms of energy?

  1. Medicinal herbs effectiveness last about 2-3 years from harvesting date at the most. If purchased, usually tack on an additional 3-6 months maybe more depending on how far it's traveled and what warehouse it's been sitting in.

I make sure I use mine within 18 months.

You can get maybe an additional year out of roots.

That being said, I don't have personal experience with ginseng.
