Question:

Is it okay to carpet clean with a diluted solution of vinegar and maybe baking soda/powder?

  1. You could use just vinegar and water but I wouldn't add baking soda.  All that's gonna do is foam.

    I know some people who use Dawn dish soap diluted down.  I personally like Simple Green.  It's an all purpose cleaner, non-toxic, works well and smells good.


  2. I would use a solution of vinegar and water. Baking soda would foam withthe vinegar, and may even leave a powdery residue.

  4. Sprinkle  baking soda  over the carpet and leave for a while (preferably overnight) to absorb any smells,  especially if you have pets, then clean with a carpet cleaning solution like Vax or 2001

  5. or u could use a lil bit of laundry soap and to make it smell better u can use liquid fabric softner like snuggle the one in the blue it works great ! :) and at some stors u can find carpet shampoo that smells like vanilla and things like that
