I don't have time in the mornings to prepare breakfast, i'm literally out the door (sometimes without getting to shower). You could say wake up earlier, but i have to travel quite a way, which means me waking up at 5:45am as it is.

I'm not too keen on eating cereals, i don't trust any of the stuff they contain, but i do like porridge, and i have actually been eating porridge oats with just milk (not cooked). I do like the taste, and i find it very filling, but i want to know if it is bad to eat it this way.

  1. I used to eat it like that too! It's ace - you'll be fine.

  2. No problem. They are an ingredient  in many muesli mixtures.

  3. yes, what do you think muesli is?

  4. It's not going to kill you

  5. Get yourself a smoothie maker it has changed my life!  I already have to get up at 5:30 to travel to work so breakfast was a toughie.  With a smoothie maker you just pour in some kind of juice like orange juice, maybe some yogurt any kind, a banana and some frozen berries.  Chuck in a handful of porridge oats and whiz.  It take less than 5 minutes and can be drunk quickly and you not only get your healthy oats but loads of fruit too.  You can vary the ingredients and make any kind of smoothie you like.

  7. i guess it's not gonna hurt.

but why not wake up jus two minutes earlier, throw the oats and some milk/water together in a bowl, whack it in the microwave, and then go get ready. when your done, hot bowl of porridge waiting for you.

It is all right to eat that, and did you know that it is also a home remedy for a runny tummy?

  11. it's likely to swell up in your stomach - shouldn't cause significant problems, though. One minor point; as it will slowly absorb moisture, you may find it gets a little more difficult to poo.
