I have a short inquiry I'd like to send to a detective that doesn't involve a case or police work; his address is listed at the department website. Would it be okay to send an email?

  2. Yup a friendly one should be fine... just don't give out a lot of info bout urself... another thing, if the detective is popular, he won't answer you after all !!! :-)
