Is it okay to gargle with hydrogen peroxide if I have braces?

I want to make my teeth whiter, and I'm getting my braces off in less than a month, so would it be okay to gargle with it?

Would it harm my braces at all?

Gargling with hydrodren peroxide might not be a good idea, whether you wear braces or not. A lot of research has shown that peroxide may be carcinogenic -- that is, it may cause cancer. You might want to talk to an ENT (Ear/Nose/Throat specialist, also known as an otolaryngologist) before gargling with peroxide.

but DONT TRY TO WHITEN YOUR TEETH BEFORE YOU GET YOUR BRACES OFF!!

since the brackets are blocking a square of ur tooth, if u whiten ur teeth, only the outside would whiten, so when ur braces r gone, there will be yellow quares on ur teethh---- EWW

just wait a couple more months

believe i no, i was supposed to have the braces off last week, but he pushed it off for 2 more months, :(

Ask your Orthodontist. Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizer that could tarnish your braces although they are stainless steel.
