  1. If he has never had one before i wouldnt give it to him now, only because it's hard to get him off it later. A teething ring would probly do a better job then the pacifier would :)

  2. YES ITS OK BUT DONT GIVE IT TO HIM ALL THE TIME. HIS GUMS ARE SORE AND BITING ON THE PASSY FEELS GOOD TO HIM.

  3. If you dont want him to get buck teeth or get ''addicted'' to it, to where they are 3 and still sucking on it then just put some baby origel on their gums and a frozen or half frozen teething ring to suck on. But a child has to suck on a passy for a long time to get messed up teeth, I know all my sis and bro's used on for a while and they have good teeth.

  4. you can but if you can do anything else i would try that first. my 2nd never ever took a pacifier even though we did try. we didnt have to go thru breaking that habit so it was nice! does he like teething rings or the gel ones you can put in the freezer or water ones for the fridge??

you can get vibrating teethers for less than 5 dollars at wal-mart

  5. Yes it is okay to give him one.  Just try to make him stop by 12 months.  They say using after that might cause buck teeth.

  6. passy's are a pain. you always have to have one with you. you should get him some teething toys. my baby sister is 6mo. old too. and we got her this toy that when she bites on it, it vibrates, and she really likes it. we got it at Kohls. but I'm sure you could get one pretty much anywhere. hope my advice was helpful!

  7. Yes anything to make them feel good!

  8. It's up to you, you're the mommy!  I never gave one to either of my daughters and my second absolutely refused every attempt I tried to get her to take it.  It was one less thing I had to wean her from, which was great in retrospect.

Have you tried frozen or wet cloths for him to suck on?  or traditional teething rings?  they also have vibrating teething rings which are really quite cool.

    Good luck!

  9. It's fine. It's when they are a little older (about two and up) and parents are still giving thier children bottles for prolonged periods, that they develop buck teeth. It can also happen from scuking their thumbs for years. So let em have it! :)

  10. I wouldn't. Why start a new habit? Give him some teething rings or a (clean!) frozen washcloth, with some baby orajel.

  11. When your child is teething it is normal for them to want to chew on something. He won't get buck teeth as long as you keep the pacifier situation under control. Only give him the pacifier when he is asking for it. Give him children or infant moltron to deal with the pain. But don't let your son get dependant on the pacifer.

Hope this helps :) ask your childs doctor if you have more questions!
