  1. It's actually better for the hermit crabs if you don't bathe them. Just give them access to fresh and salt water bowls-- de-chlorinated water ONLY, and don't use table salt, use a proper marine salt meant for a saltwater aquarium-- that are deep enough for them to climb in and out whenever they want. (Make sure they can climb out, because land hermit crabs can drown!) If they are able, they will bathe themselves. If you force them to take a bath, it's not only scary and stressful, it also messes with the internal salinity of their bodies, which they should be allowed to regulate themselves or they could become sickly.

  2. sure just dont leave them in there 2 long.

  3. It actually stresses them out to give them a bath and not necessary!

They need one dish of fresh water and one of salt (crab salt not table) water.. They will bathe themselves as needed.

  4. I didn't know you had to give hermit crabs a bath =\

I just insert a mini tub of water for them,

yet shallow enough for them to walk in and out on their own
