Is it okay to go to Otakon without dressing up and what is it like?

Of course its okay to go without dressing up a lot of people don't.

Otakon is fun either way as long as you like anime of course.

BTW I'm going as Kiria from Kingdom hearts just so you know =]

Otakon is a huge anime convention in the Baltimore Convention Center (but hopefully you already knew that). It's basically a three day convention celebrating anime, manga, and video games. There's a GIANT dealer's room (where you can buy a lot of anime stuff) and I heard they are also using the Baltimore Arena for two big events (a concert and the masquerade). I've been going since 2006 and my friends and I always have a blast. And it's just fine if you don't dress up. Half my friends don't and they have a great time. Be sure to take pictures of those who have dressed up. Many do an incredible job (I'm whinging dressing up like The Joker from The Dark Knight, just so you know).
