Question:

Is it okay to leave dry food out for kittens

Is alright to free feed kittens? They are around two months old. I haven't done it before. I normally feed them in the morning and in the eveneing. They don't gorge themselves when they eat, and they only eat if their hungry. So there is no eating problems. I've heard free feeding kittens is bad. What do you think?

  1. I foster kittens, and I always leave dry food available to them 24/7. Never had an issue with it.

I feed my adult cats on schedule, but the kittens get free-fed.

  2. yeah it's ok when it comes to dry food, but don't leave out a can of food or something like that because they will gorge themselves right now. i have a kitten who's around 2 months old and when i go to work or to a party i put her in my room with a bowl full of food, a bowl of water and the litter box and she'll chill in there all day and night and be fine.

  3. No you cvan feed kittens hard food leave it out and they wont gorge them selves I have a new puppy but hes differnt.  I also have 3 cants and yes you can leave the cat food out if its hard.

  4. i don't see why it'd be bad.

we do that, leave enough food for until we get home from work/school.

they'll eat when they get hungry and have plenty till u get home.
