I say do it. Tends to make half of the group laugh and the others disgusted. I figure the ones laughing will be your true friends and the disgusted ones ahhhhh the heck with them.

C'Mon Man....You know it's wrong and just plain nasty! It's not a very nice thing to do...It really depends on your company and how comfortable they are with you and vice versa.

But If you can, desist form doing that. You never know who might be in your company.

I say yeah if you are eating with a bunch of people you know. If you are with strangers but you can't hold it in then maybe leave the table or blame it on someone else.
