Is it okay to not wear Invisalign for the recommended 22-24 hours.?

Sometimes I go out to party and what not and can't wear my invisalign for the recommended time, so it gets cut down to 16 perhaps.

you are allowed to do whatever you want, although it is recommended for a reason. the less you wear it the longer you have to wear it in the long run. so you figure you only wear it for 16 hours a day (just an estimate) that is cutting off 8 hours a day. that means you lose 56 hours a week which means you will have to wear it that much longer. know what i mean? so in the short run it is fine, but in the long run you might not be so happy.
