Question:

Is it okay to only go to doctors as needed, instead of regular visits?

I have a specialist for respiratory problems that seemed annoyed and condescending as he said "oh, you ONLY come in to see me when you need to," immplying that I should come for regular appointments.

Ummmm, isn't that the whole point? To go to get help only when you NEED to?

I mean, that's rude. I know they want the business, but why lie and make people think that they have to come in all the time, when in all reality, they do not!

  1. It depends on your state of health. If you have bad outbreaks often it could be a good thing to go on a regular basis. The biggest problem I see is that most doctors don't do much to heal you. They treat the symptoms and leave the underlying problem alone.

I know from your past posts that you have bad asthma problems. Inhalers and drugs will help the symptoms and ease the attacks but it is still there. They could run tests to find the trigger mechanism and possibly find a cure, but there isn't as much money in a cure.
