Is it okay to put a lava lamp on wood furniture?

on the bottom of the lamp there is a piece of felt, but is it still okay to have on polished wood?

I'd say so..I mean it shouldnt get hot enough to burn it or anything if it does then thats a bit weird.

Yes, it is. But lava lamps should not be left on for more than 3 - 4 hours. They get too hot. This is a problem we have in our house, as my sister leaves hers on all night.

And especially because there's that piece of felt, it should be fine. Just make sure it doesn't get too hot.
