Is it okay to put clothes that wash in cold water into a laundry machine with warm water?

my mom only washes clothes in a machine with warm water and i have like a couple of clothes that say to wash and cold water. she has a lot to do and says she doesnt have time to do a seperate thing with 2 clothes that need to be washed with cool water. what would washing these clothes in warm water do to them?! would it just be better to wash by hand? thankkks

  1. When manufactures state you must use cold water then it is adviseable to do so as these fabrics could have high shrinkage and could ruin your clothes, you could add these clothes when the warm water has cooled down enough to tolerable to the fabric closer to cool water but still tepid these types of fabrics could then handle the temperature without severe shrinkage Good Luck !


  2. Just put them in the warm water and hang dry them.  :)

  3. The difference in washing something in cold and warm is that warm water can shrink your clothes.  I wash everything in cold.  You can also save money by washing it in cold.  If your MOM  wont wash it in warm.  Then why do YOU  do your own laundry and wash it in cold your self.
