  1. crushed or whole they will take then, but if you can get 5 cents for them as a deposit you would be farther ahead to get the deposit

  2. Yes they are processed the same way. I used to have a can-crusher, a little hand operated press that flattened cans out for easy keeping and storage. You could get a lot more of them into a box and they still were worth the nickel if you lived in CA or other states that refunded on cans.

    Thanks for asking!

  3. Different recycling centers have different policies, but as a rule crushed cans are acceptable.  Just make sure the inside of the can is clean before you crush it.  I usually rinse them out to remove sticky residue.

  4. I used to rinse everything, before I recycled. Crushed cans are the same.

I want glass to be recycled for 5 cents a bottle in the South. I used to pack everything for recycling, when I lived up North. My back porch was cans. bottles and I had someplace to recycle. I wasn't homeless but I recycled, 25 years ago. I collected my .05 a bottle!

I live in the middle of no where and it all goes in the trash. It's a thirty mile drive to recycle. When I lived up North, it was a block.

  5. Of course you can! You can also take all your crushed cans to a recycling place to trade for money if you have one that does that.
