  1. no it will in time build up and clog the drain

  2. It's technically "okay" but it can cause problems later on in your pipes. Egg shells take quite a while to break down, so you might end up with little pieces of egg in your sink months later. This can also produce a smell. In small doses if should be fine, but I wouldn't recommend putting 5 dozen egg shells down there.

  3. Someone just asked this yesterday and the BA on that question explained it really well.

  4. IT IS OK ! i do it all the time hehehehe

  5. People have a misunderstanding of garbage disposals. For the most part its really only for the small scrapes of food left on plates. If you don't want to have plumbing problems you should not throw anything down that could just as easily go in the trash. Before putting dishes in the sink, you should first scrape as much into the trash. A garbage disposal will shred most anything including bones, but you will cause problems with your pipes sooner or later.

  6. depending on which model and brand you own you are okay.

  7. Yes but a better place would be in your compost bin.

  8. No, I would not do it. Eggshells are not food particles. Depending how many eggshells there are, you could create a blockage or serious problems. Also, do not put peelings from potatoes, carrots, etc, or coffee grounds in your garbage disposal. Hope this helps.
