  1. that how i wash mine

  2. Yes you can put your shoes in the washer.

  3. There is a good idea.  I think I am going to go and get those shoes next to the road.  They have been lying there for months.  I need some extra shoes, mine are wearing out.  I sure could use putting the one's I have now in the wash.  What could it hurt right?  I walk in the water anyways.

  4. YES! but do NOT wash them if they are suede, they will stink and you will ruin the fabric.

If they are cotton or cloth material, then go right ahead!

  5. I have washed canvas sneakers in the washing machine and they came out fine. I would not wash any other kind of shoe this way.

  6. the shoes will just float to the top. you will have to wash it with a couple of towels to make it go down.  It would be better to just use one of those shoe cleaners.  Fantastic works too.  bleach the laces and do not put it in the dryer.  It could ruin the drum.

  7. If they are cloth and rubber and not leather, suede, or wood it should be fine.  When done stuff them with newspaper and dry them on low till almost dry, then set them out on the front porch to finish, or put them on to finish drying. If you wear them while they finish drying, they'll actually fit better, as they'll dry to the contours of your feet.

  8. It depends on the shoes.

like my pumas are kind of a soft outer texture

It would kind of make them look old if I did.

But I do it to my nike's all the time.

  9. yeah thats how i wash mine but mine are soft puma shoes

  10. I put my tennis shoes in the washer when they get dirty. It works well, and doesn't tear them up.

  11. I have washed cheap tennis shoes from Payless with BAD results.  They fall apart.  But my Adidas shoes usually hold up to a couple of washings.  I put them on gentle cycle, and not into the dryer.  They seem to get out of shape and look old for some reason if I dry them.  I usually buy a new pair of running shoes every 2 years, and I usually end up washing each pair a few times.  I have noticed that cheap tennis shoes are glued together on the insides (like the upper part is glued onto the sole all they way around).  But if you remove the thin liner from the inside of an Adidas tennis shoe, you will see that the whole top of the shoes is sewn together on the bottom and then connected to the rubber sole.  Which is probably why cheaper shoes tear up faster...maybe the glue can't  hold up.  So if I were you, I'd check to see they're well made before putting them through the wash.
