Is it okay to reduce one serving of grains from what the food pyramid recommends? ?

I'm 15 and 8 months old. The food pyramid suggests 6 servings of grains for a person my age and size. Is it okay to reduce one it to 5 servings to lose weight? Or do i need all 6 servings?

I'm 4'11.5 and 111 pounds. i want to lose 15 pounds.

  1. of course, it is just a recommendation you dont NEED all 6 servings the food pyramid is just a guide
