They seem to work just fine.

I have a Pioneer DEH-2800MP deck advertised with 22w x 4, 50w max.

I have 2x 40w Pioneer 6x9" in the back.

I have 2x 40w Kenwood 6" in the doors.

It's working just fine right now, I can't detect and distortion really.

I was just wondering if this is bad for the speakers or anything. I know I'm not getting the fullest out of the speakers but I don't really have the cash to buy an amp at the moment.

  1. It doesn't matter if your speakers claimed to handle 1000w rms. All that matters is if they are 4 ohm speakers and they are. You wont have a problem.

    Enjoy! :)

  2. Hey squid......send me your email so I can clarify some things for you........you answered my questions about "MP3 Skipping with my Stereo" question..........

  3. You are fine.

The amp is just putting out 22w for each speaker.  The speaker can handle UPTO 40 watt EACH.

    Good Luck...
