Is it okay to scrub lips with salt?

Okay, so my mom bought this scrubbing salt stuff.

Its to make your skin soft.

I was wondering if its okay to scrub the stuff on your lips if they are dry or rough?

No, that is not ok. The skin on the rest of your body is different from the skin on your lips. You need to get an over the counter medicated chap-stick with aloe vera or vitamin E in it. Avon has a lip exfoliating treatment you can try:

no i wouldnt but if you want to get rid of it you take you tooth brush and like brush your lips and it takes it away

but if ur lips r chapped exfoliate with the back of ur toothbrush

than put chapstick

Idk. I guess, as long as you don't have any open wounds, such as cuts, or something.

i honestly wouldn't because it would be just like eatting to much salt, it would make your lips burn and very raw

I've learned that you should only use products for what they are meant for.

(e.g. DON'T EVER use witch hazel or BODY lotion on your face, and DONT EVER use conditioner as leave in conditioner.) You could have a reaction.

When my lips are dry, I usually mix some all purpose cleanser with sugar. It tastes good, and it really makes your lips soft.

You can also brush you lips. It helps. (And it pumps the blood in your lips to make them more full)

i wouldn't recommend it for your lips; salt can be drying and might even sting chapped lips.

try sugar instead! sugar, milk, and honey are good for the skin, and they are sensitive enough for your lips. try making a paste of 3 tablespoons of sugar, half a tablespoon of milk, and a 1 to 2 spoons of honey. (adjust ingredients if needed). then exfoliate your lips with it gently.
