Is it okay to sell jewelry that someone gave me if it has no sentiment to me?

I'm cleaning out my room and came across a few real gold+diamonds jewelry that people gave me over the years. I never wore it, I never will wear it, it was just in the back of my cupboard collecting dustbunnies. They really don't have sentimental value to me, but I somehow feel bad about wanting to sell them. What would you do?

  1. I feel that you should feel free to do with the jewelry as you please. You are the owner of it. Is there someone in the family that might cherish it more than you? If not, and you have no sentiment attachment then I think you should do with it what ever you feel like doing>

  2. If it's gold or silver jewelry then sure it's no big deal.  It can be a process to find the best return, so check out this article on how to sell gold and silver jewelry

  3. .   Now that my parents and Aunt are dead, i wish that i had kept more of their stuff.  But just the other day i gave the neighbor girl some pearls from my mom that had sat in a drawer for 7 years.  go ahead and sell them.  They are yours to sell.

  4. Melt the gold into somthing else U won't feel bad cuz in a way U still have the jewelry but at the same time U can change it into what ever U want

  5. that depends are you going to use the money to buy ""toys"", if so i wouldn't recommend it because it would lower your value's as a person.
