  1. yea as long as u dont stand or jump on it

  2. yea my longboard was sitting on its fin in my garage all winter, and it's fine.  why would that break it?  just dont let the dog jump on it or something.

  3. No...If your board has removable fins like FCS or a fin box take them out.  Fins are pretty fragile and can break off easily, depending on the break it can be pretty expensive to fix.

  4. Haha.  They're not THAT fragile.  It's COMPLETELY fine to store a surfboard fins down.  Just don't set anything heavy on top of it.

I have a lot of boards and store about half of them with the fins down.  I used to keep 4 baords stacked on top of each other, all fin-side-down.  None of the fins ever broke off, dented, scratched, or anything serious.

The only worry is if someone or something steps on, sits on, falls on, or whatever.  The weight will cause problems.  But, honestly, even then, you'll probably get some bad pressure dings or buckling before the fins even move.  They're set in there pretty securely.  The other person doesn't know what they're talking about.

  5. You can but it's better to store them fin side up or you can put a blanket down and lean them up against a wall if you need space. The blanket ortowel is to protect the nose.
