Question:

Is it okay to store my contacts in regular water?

For only one night though. I cannot get any solution at this point is it bad to store it in water?

  1. yeah, it is bad , that's what the doctor told me when i got contacts.

    you neeeed saline solution.


  2. it isn't good but i guess its better than leaving them in...don't leave them in! boil the water before hand to make sure there is no bacteria

  3. Just leave them in your eyes. I did it all the time when I wore contacts. Then again... my contacts ripped once in a while from not taking care of them. Mine were soft lenses and were for an astigmatism.

    There's plenty of stores open wherever you are or whatever time it is. It's 2am here and I can name you at least 3 stores I know that are open within a mile from me. CVS, Kroger, 7-11. 2 of 3 of them I know sell contact supplies.

  4. You might as well throw them out, because it wont be safe to wear them after storing them in water.

  5. If you are wearing soft contact lenses please do not do this since you are increasing the chances of getting an eye infection. If you are wearing hard lenses you can safely store them in water.
