Is it okay to take natural vitamins/herbals for health conditions?

especially for asthma? There are many drugs on the market which "boost" the immune system, however, asthma itself you take drugs which lower the immune system a tad bit,....so I'm not sure if that would cancel the effects of the prescription drugs.

And I don't mean serious conditions but if you want to lower your cholesterol, treat asthma to a degree, be in better overall health, like take Immune System improvement drugs, whole foods, whole food vitamins and the such,?

  1. Yes.  And there is a natural protocol for almost every malady:

    ASTHMA

    Supplements:

    Quercitin-C500 mg 3x daily

    Flaxseed oil   1000 mg 2x daily before meals

    Vitamin B complex 50 mg 4x daily

    Vitamin A15,000 iu daily

    Vitamin E600 iu daily

    Vitamin C

    with bioflavonoids1500 mg 3x daily

    CoQ 10100 mg daily

    Magnesium + calcium1500 mg daily

    L-Cysteine500 mg 2x daily

    Herbs:

    Ginkgo Biloba

    Echinacea

    Pau d’arco

    Recommendations:

    1.  Eat a diet of primarily fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, oatmeal, brown rice and whole grains.  Processed foods and sugar should be avoided.

  4. It is never a good idea to take any supplements without checking with a medical advisor if you are on prescription drugs. the mixture may cause many other problems.

    There are several natural herbs for immune system improvement but most of them may have side effects and may cancel the effect of your regular meds.

    Don't experiement.
