Is it okay to use alkaline batteries in a tv remote control?

I have some AAA alkaline batteries, and I'm wondering if it's okay to use them in a tv remote control. I don't know if it's okay to use alkaline batteries in all items or only certain ones.

Does anyone know?

Any kind of battery is nice. I use rechargable battery nicely, since we do usually channel surf i find it very handy to use rechargables den recharge and reuse all over again.

Depends what type of remote it is... but alkaline should work fine..
