Question:

Is it okay to use bleaching trays after getting your braces off?

I got my braces off about 3 weeks ago. I'm pretty sure the braces "de-mineralized" my teeth. So like now my teeth are kind of chalky and stuff and kind of an off-white color. I bought some bleaching trays from Walgreens and I was wondering if it was okay to use them on my teeth?

Thanks!

  1. This is what you should do...

#1 Go to the dentist's and get your teeth cleaned and exam's with x-rays, let them know you want to whiten, then they will check for cavities, and weak areas and advise if you are a good candidate for whitening.

#2  Get a tube of MI paste and use it every day until it is done, it will heal the enamel, and get the teeth their shiny luster back and strengthen the enamel (avail at the dentist's or on e-bay, google it: mi paste)

    #3-Then use your whitening trays...

This is what I recommend in our office

  2. yeah, it's fine. i've used them since i got my braces off.
