Is it okay to use liquid PH in an above-ground pool?

I'm only concerned because it's labeled for "Spa Use", so I'm wondering if it won't work in our 1,000 gallon above-ground pool and its little pump. I've been using the granules/powder stuff, and we just grabbed the liquid because we were in a pinch.
