  1. yea i guess you could because when you put the goggles over your eves nothing will get in that area so you should be ok with them.

  2. Oh cmon, definitely, i wear contact lenses while swimming all the time, and when i went snorkeling in the ocean. as long as your wear goggles/snorkel mask you'll be fine.

  3. You can wear them, but you risk losing them if your mask floods or gets knocked off. It's not recommended.

  4. You could pick up bacteria in the water and even when showering afterwards and that could have seriously nasty results.  So I'd take them out.

Using daily disposables saves the hassle of cleaning lenses. Just throw away the pair you're wearing beforehand and put in a new pair when you're finished snorkelling and clear of the shower.  Check out www.daysoftlenses.com or 1-800 for good cheap contacts..

..but if it really bugs you not having good vision when you're snorkelling then you can get prescription diving masks or goggles.  www.rx-safety.com and www.sporteyes.com are two web-sites I found easily on-line but I don't know too much about them.

  5. even if it's okay, i'd rather not.

  6. yes, I wear them swimming with goggles so I can see when my head surfaces.  I have found I don't need them with the goggles when I am under water (great visual acuity, a phenomenom I can't explain) but I can't see when my head isn't under the water.  does anyone else notice this?
