Is it okay to wear contacts in soak city?

I heard that you can wear contacts in the pool with goggles or daily disposables. Well, i have daily disposable soft contacts and i'm going to be at soak city from 10AM-5PM. can i still wear my contacts? Is it still okay to wear them all day (i'll dispose them when i leave the park) when they're filled with chlorine? And should i get goggles? I'm also very near-sighted (-8.0 prescription!) so i can't not wear my contacts or glasses, and i don't have enough time to get prescription goggles since i'm going tomorrow.

I just take a few extra pairs with me. I wear them all day and throw them out when I leave the park. Taking a few extra pairs will let you replace them if they get washed out for any reason. Then you are not totally debilitated. I get a little irritated form the chlorine, but it does not cause me much grief past about 24 hours. I just use artificial tears later and drink a lot of water.
