  1. It is not always obvious when a person has cerebral palsy.  Like many other conditions, people may have different degrees of cerebral palsy, from very severe to very mild.  A mild case of cerebral palsy may not be immediately noticeable to others.  A person with very mild cerebral palsy may look completely normal, but may have some weakness on the affected side(s).  Other people might think that this individual is just a little clumsy or slow.  While some people with CP are also developmentally delayed, cerebral palsy itself does not affect a person's mental functioning, only physical abilities.

  2. i am 18 I have Cerebral Palsy i was born 26 weeks early and i had a grade 4 bleed in my brain.i am a left Hemiplegic and you can not tell i have a very mild case the only effects i have is my left side a bit i do not have full function of my left hand and i do walk with a little bit of a limp. I do have Physical Therapy once a week but besides these 3 little things i am fine. i play roller hockey and tennis you would never be able to tell unless you know what you are looking for. i consider myself lucky and do not look at myself with having a disability i look at myself as a normal kid
