Is it only me, or does anybody else want to Margarrito VS Mayweather?

I belive its gonna be better than an oscar dela hoya fight, and how can we start a petition? is anybody as excited as me to see this fight? opinions please!!

The Margarito/Mayweather fight is the fight that will never happen just because "Pretty Boy" is afraid of him, and after seeing what Tony did to Cotto, I don't blame Mayweather for running waya from him. Margarito always had the reputation of being the one fighter that no one wants to fight because he is a really big welterweight. The only three Welterweights 5'11" or taller are Williams, Cintron, and him. Cotto, Judah, Mosley, and Mayweather are smaller Welterweights who can't knock Tony out, and they can't take his punch either. Mayweather has no chance against Margarito because Tony is just too big and powerful for him. Floyd would win the early rounds, just like Cotto, but Margarito would chase him until he catches him with big blows and get the inevitable KO. The only other Welterweight that would give him a good fight would be the one who gave him his last loss, and that is the WBO Champ Paul Williams. That would be an interesting rematch for the WBA/WBO Welterweight Championship. That fight should be coming early in 2009.

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight but I think Mayweather would win in a majority decision. It probably would be one sided and kind of boring. I am Mexican American and would be pulling for Margarrito but have to face the truth in that Mayweather has superior skills.

every time i see floyds name i feel i need to speak up because so many people hate. ok you have the right to hate the man but not his boxing skills.everyone wants to point out floyd ran from marggo because he was offered 8mil.nobody seems to know he took another 8mil to fight baldamir, who was the true linear welterweight world champion at that point.rememeber floyd likes to fight champions.whoever said marggo is to big for floyd is right and thats the reason it would be no contest. floyd would never gas out like cotto cause he dosent waste punches/energy.and if anybody knows cotto, they know he always struggles when he gets pressed.and if anybody knows the behind the scenes of boxing they know the real problem is marggos promoter(look up some of my other answers i explained more)

and whoever said it would be a boring fight, maybe so because after marggo sees floyd speed in the ring(not on film) he would start holdin back more or just unable to land any meaningfull punches. marggo-cotto fight turned into a brawl only because cotto gased out and tried to brawl wit marggo.

i dont understand why people get mad because floyd perfers to box and not brawl(remember its called BOXING not brawling)hit and dont get hit the sweet science.if someone hits harder than you would you stand there and trade with them yes that is exciting but it dosnt make sence/cents does it

bottem line is floyd would destroy marggo hands down.....literally

why petition for that ****... all of us should've done it a long time ago when floyd ducked margarito...  now dat margarito has beaten cotto and has seen how none of cottos punches went to margarito, i believe dat mayweather is gonna have a longer retirement... mayweather is a p***y and will not fight toe to toe, so who would want to see that ****... margo and de la hoya should be a better fight, but i can tell that margo is the most dangerous welterweight for oscar... i think he wont fight margo... but at least he was in the game longer den p***y asssssssss$$$$ floyd...

It should have been Margarito and Mayweather a long time ago before De La Hoya but he turned him down for 8 million. I'm Mexican but Ive been watching Cotto since he made his debut on HBO I'm a big fan  and i thought he was the future of boxing but he wasn't scared to fight him so u got to give cotto credit. But Mayweather to scared to fight either of them but lets make it happen and see if Floyd has balls to fight either of them.

Lets get one thing straight Mayweather is not afraid of anyone this is not a fight between two second graders this is professional boxing no one is afraid of anyone  now that Mike Tyson is gone. Margarito has lost to Paul Williams so why is everyone so excited about Margarito. Mayweather will destroy Margarito and Paul Williams and De La Hoya  Mayweather will be back and he is going to fight the person who will make him the most money and that is Del La Hoya I am sorry to say Mayweather needs the money and he likes the money it,s called greed but the best thing about Mayweather he is a winner and you will get your moneys worth.

If there is a god this fight will never happen. The cotto margarito fight had the things that a mayweather-margarito fight would not have.

INTENSITY-the fight was a good fight because both fighters pushed themselves to the brink and displayed true heart and compassion and a hunger for a victory. a mayweather fight would be a lot of trash talking little action if any and them floyd talking more trash after winning by just counter punching and getting a paycheck. floyd doesn't have a hunger to win and if the margarito-cotto fight was just like the delahoya-mayweather fight people would not be talking about it. people won't even remember that fight 20 years from now, but the margarito-cotto match is a legendary battle that reminds me of past great fights. i would love to see a mayweather-margarito fight, but i don't care to see floyd talk a lot noise then just back away and counter the whole time to a very boring decision then say he was so great.

I would like to see it, because there are people out there who think Margarito has what it takes to solve the puzzle of beating Mayweather. Then you have some people who think Mayweather would disect Margarito's every move. Personally, I think Mayweather would counter and pick apart many of Margarito's assaults. I guess that's something we would have to see and probably won't get to see.

The biggest curiousity of the bout would be, what will the judges be looking for in scoring this bout. Will they favor the guy who will clearly press the action and do so better than De La Hoya? Or will they give Mayweather credit for his ability to hit and not get hit, though his opponent may out throw punches in a ratio of 5:2?

UMMM YEA, i would die for that fight, but MAyweather didnt want to fight him when he was at his highest level and when margarito was beating guys like clottey and gomez, now after he demolished cotto i dont think mayweathe will come out of retirement for that fight.  altho the rising popularity of margarito which shows by its payper view buys last week is gettin gbetter.  I would love too see it!!! A mexican warrior vs the american pretty boy, what more is ther, a true fight for the p4p spot and welterweight supremacy. WHER DO I SIGN THIS PETITION?
