  1. Not at all. You can't always find someone who likes the movie you want to see and is free when you are. I personally wouldn't miss watching my fav movie on the big screen, just because I can't find someone to watch it with.

  2. depends what kind of movie if its something like superbad or pinapple express then a little but if its batman or any drama or action

  3. No, some folks like to enjoy movies alone with no distractions.  I like to go to concerts alone so I don't have to share my good times with anyone else

  4. I love to go to the movies by myself, especially during the day.  No lines, great seats!

  5. If you're male it means you're a desperate, lonely loser. It's okay if you're female though.

  6. That's the best way to enjoy a movie! You don't have to be distracted if they want to talk or act up. You can truly focus on the film. I always went by myself unless someone insisted on joining me; the only movie dates I enjoyed were those in which he just let me lose myself in the film.

I would go a bit early, go to the third center row, and hope that no one would sit close enough to disturb me. For me, movies are not a social event. I didn't want to spend my money then have people talk so much that I couldn't follow the film. Watch then talk about it later! At least that's always been my movie motto.

  7. No.

But....a co-worker of mine said he went and saw "Juno" by himself.

Man, he regretted doing that. He said he went cause it had the guy from "Superbad" in it.

    His nickname is now "Juno"

  8. No

  9. No, I don't think it is, there are times when I go with friends, and on some occasions by myself because it's not like people are going to be available at the same time to watch the same movie all the time

  10. I like to go see movies by myself but i think its more fun to go see horror or comedies with a huge group. You need a lot of people around at a comedy because laughing is contagious, and horror you need someone there so you can make fun of it.

  11. No

Whats the difference, its not like you need someone to talk to anyway.

People do things by themselves, for all sorts of reasons.

Maybe they are on a business trip, and dont want to sit around the hotel all night.

Maybe no one else can afford to go

Maybe no one else has TUESDAY off like they do.( or whatever day)

Maybe they live alone and just dont want to be bothered with making plans.

Maybe they just want to see the movie, and who cares what other people think.  Its dark

In fact,it takes more self assurance to go do something on your own...thus less pathetic than you might imagine.  You are more confident of who you are and what you want to do.

However, some people are just losers too LOL

  12. No it's not pathetic!! In fact, I think it takes a strong person to go and do something by themselves, like go to the movies, go out to eat alone...I say more power to the person who doesn't need anyone else but themselves to have a good time!!

  13. I think I actually enjoy the movies more when I go by myself.  If you buy tickets online it really saves some embarrassment at the box office and really who's going to notice you alone in the theater anyway?

Plus, it's easier to sneak into other movies when I'm by myself since my wife, the "voice of reason", is always telling me it's just like stealing haha.

Just don't go to family films by yourself friend, because that looks very strange.
