Is it permitted to make salah behind or with my brother in law?

I was just wondering because I have seen this happen and I was wondering if it is permitted for us to pray together ,sister in law and brother in law. My children will also be praying with us they are young.And if he doesnt know much Quran can I lead ?Please provide proof from Quran and hadeeth.

Brother in law is  not ur own brother, therefore he is Non-Mahram to you.

Its Haram to pray with a non-mahram unless their is a curtain and u stay behind it.

Your brother in law is your non-mahram so you have to observe hijab in front of him, and yes you can pray behind him,,,keeping good distance and no you cannot lead the prayers. In Islam woman is not to lead the prayer.in which there are men present. if she is to lead women prayers, then she should stand in between the row like in the middle, and say her salat, make sure no alien men hears her voice.

YES!because you cannot admonish one another if you are not together. and every congregation and all believers everywhere need united agreement in prayer and faith. True, we can pray privately, but we must also come together with the church expecting to find one accord in prayer

Just pray on your own, why do you have to do it with him in the first place.  theres no need for it !i He can learn QUran on his own, just like I did

Yes, you can pray behind any muslim man.  You should keep your distance from non-mahrams though, and avoid unnecessary contact.

what happen in makkha and madina there is separate section for women and men

u cannot offer pray if Ur shoulder touch with male or if he offer pray behind u or front of u their should u be some curtain

if their is curtain between male and female  then their is no problem with offering salha
